Job Description

Responsibilities:

  1. Employee Relations:

    • Act as a liaison between employees and management to address concerns, grievances, and conflicts.
    • Facilitate effective communication and promote a positive work environment.
    • Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
  2. Performance Management:

    • Assist in the development and implementation of performance management processes and procedures.
    • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on performance-related issues.
    • Monitor and evaluate employee performance and provide constructive feedback.
  3. Risk Mitigation:

    • Identify potential HR risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal regulations.
    • Conduct investigations into employee misconduct or policy violations as needed.
  4. Law and Compliance:

    • Stay up-to-date on federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Interpret and enforce company policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws.
    • Collaborate with legal counsel as needed to address compliance issues.
  5. Good Work Ethic:

    • Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and a strong work ethic in all interactions.
    • Uphold confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
    • Take initiative and demonstrate accountability for assigned tasks and projects.
  6. Bilingual Spanish:

    • Communicate fluently in both English and Spanish, both orally and in writing.
    • Assist Spanish-speaking employees with HR-related inquiries and issues.
    • Translate HR documents and materials as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in HR roles, with a focus on employee relations and performance management.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
